Maara holds a licentiate in Traditional Chinese Medicine acupuncture from the Acupuncture Foundation Ireland. Her post-graduate clinical training was completed at Jiangsu Provincial Hospital & Nanjing University of TCM, China. She is a member of the Acupuncture Foundation Professional Association (AFPA) which ensures high standards of treatment and strict codes of ethics and safe practice.

Maara provides compassionate care and a holistic treatment approach, helping clients to restore natural balance and maintain wellbeing. She treats a broad spectrum of health concerns with specific areas of focus including anxiety and emotional issues, chronic and acute pain conditions, post-concussion syndrome, migraine, digestive issues and women’s health. In addition to acupuncture, Maara is also certified in Biodynamic Craniosacral Therapy.

TRAUMA-INFORMED CARE

As a trauma-informed practitioner, Maara aims to be aware of clients’ experiences and how trauma can profoundly impact their lives. These effects can often result in a dysregulated nervous system, which can manifest as stress, anxiety, depression, insomnia, headaches, digestive issues, fatigue, inflammation and body pain. Acupuncture and Craniosacral Therapy are effective ways to regulate the nervous system and help people move toward feeling more connected and deeply supported in their lives.
